Our mission is to develop experiences that match the level of commitment and enthusiasm that connoisseur players put into the games they love.
We are searching for fellow developers who are eager to help us work toward this mission and earn the trust of players, every day.

We will likely remain a relatively small team for the foreseeable future. This will help us to operate with more freedom and maintain a genuine and close relationship with players. Toward this perpetual mission, we think the following values are important in all team members:

Personal ownership: persistence and urgency toward pleasing players and fellow developer customers within the team. This is perhaps a summary quality that employs a breadth of craft skill, judgment, leadership, emotional intelligence, perseverance and autonomy.

Good judgment: decision making process which produces outcomes that players find relevant (worth the investment of their time and effort). We often refer to this concept as “product sense” when applied to decisions during development. We believe that good judgment is fleeting and requires a lot of work to maintain and perpetually improve.

Leadership: compel behaviors from others on the team to build a better product experience for players and a healthier development environment (oriented around improvement and inclusive of ideas and feedback).

Emotional intelligence: operate effectively toward fellow developers and players feeling heard and understood. We also believe that self-awareness of strengths and weaknesses is a prerequisite for good judgment.

DEVELOPER FAQ

Where are you located?

Raid Base is a remote-first work environment, and all team members make a deliberate effort to stay connected digitally. We are connected throughout the work day on voice channels within Discord, a virtual office space designed for similarities to how we play games.
We are open to any new team members who can roughly match our core hours of 10AM-5PM PST.
We will consider the needs of our team as we periodically reevaluate the need for a physical office in the future.

Do you provide any benefits?

We offer medical, dental, and vision plans that cover you, your spouse/domestic partner, and children. Parental leave and a work-from-home equipment stipend are also available. Balance between work and personal life is encouraged with flexible paid time off, and company breaks during the summer and winter holidays. We also make time to play, discuss and study games to bond and grow our understanding of our players as a team.
